Privacy and terms

What we collect and why, what you agree to when you make an invitation, and the terms for suppliers who share a code.

Privacy notice · Updated 21 October 2026

Privacy

We collect what an invitation needs and nothing else. We never sell or share guest details, and we delete replies 90 days after your event.

1. Who we are

Invites by Najm is the trading name of Mohamed Kassim, a sole trader in England, who can be reached at 12 Parr Road, London E6 1QL. For anything about your data, email hello@invitesbynajm.co.uk.

2. What we collect

From couples and hosts: your email address, the details you put on your invitation (names, date, venue, photos, story), a recording of the invitation if you make one, and your guest list. Card payments go directly to Stripe. We see only the last four digits and the amount.

From guests: the name you reply under, how many are coming, dietary needs, any note or dua you leave, any photographs you share from the day, and your email address if you choose to give it. If the hosts use our door list on the day, their team records when your family arrives.

If you keep invitations or write a review: guests who sign in to keep invitations give us their email address, and we keep the list of invitations they saved, which only they can see. Couples who review Najm give us their review, which we show on our website only if they say so.

Dietary needs can reveal health or religious information. We collect them only so the host can cater for you, show them only to that host, and delete them with the rest of the replies.

3. Why we use it

Running your account and invitation, taking paymentTo perform our contract with you
Passing guest replies, duas and photographs to the host, sending reply confirmations and reminders, counting arrivals at the doorLegitimate interests: delivering the invitation and the event the guest was invited to
Dietary needsYour explicit consent when you enter them, which you can withdraw by editing your reply
Reminding a couple, at most twice, about an invitation they began and have not made live, with a link in each to stop themLegitimate interests: finishing the invitation you started with us
Keeping payment recordsLegal obligation

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We store only what keeps you signed in and saves your draft.

4. Who else handles it

We use a small number of providers who process data only on our instructions: Cloudflare (hosting), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider, and Photon, built on OpenStreetMap, which receives the venue search terms you type. Where any of them process data outside the UK, they are covered by UK-approved safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

Guest replies, notes, duas and arrivals are deleted 90 days after the event date. Photographs guests add are deleted a year after the event, except those the hosts keep on their invitation. Invitation content and its recording are deleted when you close your account. Payment records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Guests can do this by editing their reply or by emailing us. We reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Terms of use · Updated 21 October 2026

Terms

These terms are between you and Mohamed Kassim. By creating an invitation you agree to them.

1. What you pay

Making and previewing an invitation is free. Making it live costs £129 for a wedding, every event of it, and £49 for any other occasion, paid once, including VAT where it applies. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

A friend’s code gives a new couple half price while our first 100 places last, and £10 off after that. When theirs goes live, we refund £10 to the card of the couple who shared it. Codes cannot be exchanged for cash, and we may withdraw a code that is being misused.

2. Your right to cancel

Your invitation is digital content. When you pay, you ask us to publish it straight away, and you agree that once it is live the usual 14-day right to cancel no longer applies. If your invitation does not work as described, tell us and we will fix it or refund you.

3. What you put on it

You are responsible for the words, photos and recordings on your invitation and for having the right to use them. Invitations must not be unlawful, hateful or misleading, or used to collect data for anything other than your event. We may remove an invitation that breaks these rules, and will tell you why.

4. Keeping it running

We aim to keep invitations online at all times, especially near event dates, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. Replies are deleted 90 days after the event, as described in our privacy notice.

5. Our responsibility

If we fail to provide what we promised, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Changes and the law

If we change these terms, we will email you before the change affects an invitation you have paid for. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

Partner terms · Updated 21 October 2026

Partner terms

These terms apply if you are a wedding supplier who shares a partner code with your clients, or an artist whose design Najm offers.

1. Your code

We give you a personal code when you apply. A couple who uses it pays half while our first 100 places last, and £10 less after that, for their first invitation. You cannot use your own code on your own invitations or those of your household.

2. What you earn

You earn £10 for each couple who pays with your code and keeps their invitation live for 14 days. If the couple is refunded within those 14 days, there is nothing to pay for that sale.

3. Getting paid

We pay by bank transfer within the first 10 working days of each month, for sales that passed the 14 days in the month before. You can see every sale and payment on your partner page.

4. How you share it

Share your code with clients in person, by message, in your booking emails and on your own social media. Do not buy search adverts using our name, send unsolicited bulk messages, or describe yourself as part of Invites by Najm.

5. Ending it

Either of us can end this at any time by email. We pay what you have already earned, unless the code was used against these terms. We may change the amount you earn with 30 days’ notice by email.

6. Tax

You are responsible for declaring your earnings and for any tax on them.

7. If you are an artist

When you upload a design, you confirm the work is your own and has no pictures of people in it, and you keep the copyright. If we offer it on Najm’s invitations, you give us a licence, not exclusive, to use the design on invitations, their previews and the films made from them, and to show it on our site. You earn £10 for each invitation that goes live in your design and stays live for 14 days, paid as in 3, but not for your own invitation. You can stop offering a design at any time, on your page or by asking us; it is then no longer offered for new invitations, and invitations already made keep it. We may decline a design, or stop offering one, at any time.
